We all feel the years flying by! I have moments where I feel like someone has their finger on the fast-forward button of my life. Can we just hit the pause button for a minute? Please! There are days I feel like my children are growing before my eyes. Almost like I look at them and if I briefly look away they’re an inch taller by the time I look again! It’s beautiful though, isn’t it? To see them transform from squishy babies, into darling children, and beyond. This last May marked 11 years since I became a Mother. I’m so grateful that God has granted me the gift of motherhood. There have been so many photographable moments I’ve shared with my children over the years, and I look forward to many many more.
For those of us who are married, we may notice the subtle signs of ageing frame the eyes of our significant other, and though we relish in the joy of each new chapter life brings, we still make time to joyfully reflect upon years past. The earlier days of our youth, school years, child-rearing, and marriage. Whatever moments we cherish in life we see to it that they are captured, that the time is frozen in the form of a photograph. A good photo can jog our memory of the details of the special days that may otherwise be forgotten.
There is some value in uploading the latest and greatest from our camera roll to social media, but that’s no substitute for the photos we hang on the walls of our homes. That’s why we have pictures framed, or printed upon a canvas to be enjoyed, and smiled upon for years to come.
We all know the importance of pictures. However, in the midst of soaring inflation, many of us can’t afford to hire a photographer. Their services are worth it, and though their work is valuable, the costs can be very high. Service fees, printing costs of our favorite shots, and additional costs so that everyone can wear color-coordinated clothing all add up.
